| Dr. Sun Na is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Law, Xi'an Jiaotong University. She holds a Ph.D. in Law (Intellectual Property Law) from Peking University and an LL.M. from Loyola University, USA. She completed joint postdoctoral training at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Tencent (Shenzhen), as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in Philosophy at Xi'an Jiaotong University. She serves as a Research Fellow at the Peking University International Intellectual Property Research Center and is a National Senior Technology Manager. She is also a National Senior Engineer for AI Agent Applications, and a Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Krirk University (Thailand).
Dr. Sun holds numerous professional affiliations, including: Member of the Intellectual Property and Finance Committee of the China Intellectual Property Society; Member of the China Data Standardization Committee; Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Law Society; Deputy Secretary-General of the Shaanxi Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Law Society; Executive Council Member of the Shaanxi Intellectual Property Law Society; Distinguished Expert of the Shaanxi Technology Manager Association; Expert on Overseas Intellectual Property Protection for Shaanxi Province; Expert in the Shaanxi Standardization Advisory Database; and Expert of the Shaanxi Data Intellectual Property Working Group. She also serves as an Arbitrator for the Xi'an, Chongqing, and Yulin Arbitration Commissions, and is a Senior Partner at Guangdong Xinda (Xi'an) Law Firm.
Her academic achievements have been widely recognized: she is listed in the Top 1% of Highly Cited Authors nationwide by CNKI, received the Nomination Award for "Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-Aged Jurists of Shaanxi Province" in 2024, and was honored as the "Most Influential Author of the Year" by IP Forefront in 2024.
Her primary research interests include intellectual property law and science and technology law. She has presided over more than ten research projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and various provincial and ministerial agencies, and has published over twenty core law journal articles. She is the author of four monographs, including Research on the Punitive Damages System in Intellectual Property Law and A Comparative Study of Copyright Policies and Systems in the Digital Content Industry between China and the United States. Her research output, The Direction of U.S. Intellectual Property Policy and Its Impact on China, received the First Prize for Soft Science Research from the China National Intellectual Property Administration. Her policy advisory reports have repeatedly received substantive approval and directives from provincial and ministerial leaders. |
